Grand tour of Turkey

Today you embark on a tour of some of the main highlights of Istanbul with your private guide, including Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace and the Spice Market.

Another day exploring with your guide; today you'll visit the Hippodrome, the Blue Mosque, the Basilica Cistern and the Grand Bazaar.

This is your final day in Istanbul. Today, you'll visit the Dolmabahçe Palace, Süleymaniye Mosque, and the Chora Museum and embark on a cruise along the Bosphorus.

You leave Istanbul today and head toward the Gallipoli Peninsula. Here, you'll explore some of the many battlefields and memorials, before continuing across the Dardanelles to Çanakkale, where you spend the night.

Today you'll drive to Pergamon, where you explore the ancient Acropolis and Asclepion. Later, you'll continue onto the seaside town of Alaçati.

At leisure enjoy Alaçati and its surroundings by yourself. We suggest exploring the pretty streets filled with boutique shops, characterful cafés and interesting antique stores. Alternatively, the beaches of the Çe?me Peninsula have lovely views across the water and are easy to get to via local public bus.

Drive onto ?irince today, stopping on the way to visit the ancient city of Ephesus.

At leisure to explore ?irince and its surroundings. The mountainside village is surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, and there are a few walking trails which lead through these.

You leave ?irince today and drive further inland to the striking Pamukkale terraces.

This morning, explore the ruins of Hierapolis atop the Pamukkale terraces. Later, you drive to Antalya via the beautiful ruined city of Aphrodisias.

Visit the excellent Antalya Museum with your private guide this morning, then head out to the ruined city of Perge and nearby Aspendos.

Drive through the mountains to Konya today. Here, visit the Mevlana Museum, home of the first whirling dervishes, and the Karatay Madrasa.

Continue onto Cappadocia, visiting Sultanhan Caravanserai and Kaymakli underground city on the way.

Today, explore the cave churches of Göreme Open Air Museum with your guide, then embark on a jeep safari to some of the area's best panoramic viewpoints.

Today you'll take part in a traditional cookery course in a local family home. In the evening you'll be taken to an ancient caravanserai to watch the mesmerising whirling dervish ceremony.

Drive from Cappadocia to Ankara. On arrival, visit the Anatolian Civilizations Museum.

Transfer to the airport, ready for your flight back to Istanbul. Here, you will catch your return flight home. Your return flight will arrive the same day.
