Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Vientiane.
Today, you will arrive at Vientiane Airport and be met by one of our representatives. You will be driven to your hotel by private car.
Today, you will take a tour of Vientiane, taking in some of the capital's religious and cultural highlights. This is also a great chance to learn more about the country with an informative guide.
An early start this morning as you are met at your hotel and taken to the airport in time for your flight to the south of the country. On arrival in Pakse, you will be transferred to nearby Champasak and your riverside hotel. The main highlight will be visiting Wat Phou, a World Heritage Site and an ancient capital in the 5th century and part of the Khmer Empire by the 10th century. Evening at leisure enjoying a lovely sunset.
Today you will board a Wat Phou Rice Barge, moving south toward the 4,000 Islands. En route, you will stop at a pre-Angkorian temple before exploring the beautiful archipelago by bicycle.
Your final day onboard the Wat Phou Rice Barge starts with a visit to Don Khone Island, an old port established by French colonists. Time permitting, you will then visit the impressive waterfalls of Khong Pha Peng before transferring back to Pakse in time for your onward flight. On arrival in Luang Prabang, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The evening is at leisure to enjoy a good meal in the old capital.
