Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Colombo.
On arrival, you're met by your private chauffeur-guide and transferred down to the south coast to Galle. Once here, you can settle into your hotel and enjoy some leisure time, depending on your flight time. If you have some time today, we recommend a gentle stroll around the local area, as Galle is an excellent city to explore on foot.
Today, undertake a private city tour of Galle with your chauffeur-guide. Galle is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is home to a beautiful Dutch fort with quaint streets and pretty walkways. The fort area is the largest remaining fortress of its kind in Asia.
Today you can continue your exploration of Galle and the surrounding areas. We recommend joining a bicycle tour with a local, where you can learn even more about the people and culture of this place. Tonight, enjoy the sunset from one of the city's rooftop restaurants.
This morning, drive along the coast with your chauffeur-guide to Yala National Park. You have a couple of nights to maximise your chances of seeing the leopard and sloth bear in the area. En route, there's plenty to see, and you can ask your chauffeur-guide to stop for any photo opportunities.
Enjoy private safaris in Yala National Park in the morning and late afternoon. You are likely to see spotted deer, wild boar and wild elephant, and a wide variety of birds. If you are really lucky, you may also spot sloth bear and leopard — with on average one leopard per square kilometre. Yala has the highest density of leopards in Asia.
Enjoy a lazy morning at your accommodation before you transfer to Tangalle, a drive of around two hours along Sri Lanka's south coast.
Enjoy your day at leisure relaxing on the beach.
Your chauffeur-guide will drive you to your hotel, near the international airport. Relax and enjoy your last evening in Sri Lanka.
Today you're met by your chauffeur-guide and transferred to the airport. He will ensure you arrive at the airport in plenty of time for your onward flight. Your return flight will arrive the same day.
